Why go
Enshi canyon splits into two classic sections: the Earth Canyon, where the plank walk hugs the cliff over the river, and the Cloud Dragon Ridge, where the walkways climb above the forest. The One Incense Stick stands on the ridge — a tapering pillar of resistant limestone that erosion left behind, improbably intact.
The glass bridge and zipline are the modern additions; the Tusi heritage is the older draw. Enshi was a Tusi stronghold, a native chieftain system that governed this corner of Hubei for centuries.

Practical tips
One full day covers the ridge loop with the cable car; a second day adds the Earth Canyon walk and the quieter back trails. The plank walk is wide and rail-bound — steady shoes, no heights required for the main route. Zipline and glass bridge close in rain, so check the forecast.
Nearby
Enshi city's Tusi Castle re-creates the chieftain's fortress and is a good morning before the train out. Further afield, the Three Gorges dam and gorge cruise sit a couple of hours north-east.
